1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly: name, email, phone number, delivery address, and — for sellers — NIN and identity documents. We also record your acceptance of our Terms and Privacy Policy (including the date and time), and collect order, payment, and usage data automatically when you use Dextora.

2. How we use your information

We use your data to operate the marketplace, process orders, verify sellers, prevent fraud, communicate with you about your account, and improve Dextora.

3. Phone number & SMS verification

We use your phone number to verify your identity (for example, via a one-time SMS code), to contact you about your orders and account, and to help prevent fraud. Verification messages may be delivered through trusted third-party SMS providers. Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. We do not use your phone number for marketing without your consent.

4. Sharing your information

We share necessary details with sellers (delivery name, address, phone) to fulfil orders, with Paystack to process payments, with SMS providers to verify your phone number, and with law enforcement when legally required. We never sell your personal data.

5. KYC documents

NIN images and selfies are stored in a private, encrypted bucket accessible only to you and Dextora's verification team. They are used solely for identity verification.

6. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure to comply with legal obligations.

7. Your rights

You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. Closing your account removes your listings and personal profile.

8. Security

We use industry-standard encryption, row-level security on our database, and secure payment infrastructure. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as your theme.
